In the small hours of the morning,
When it's darkest before the dawn,
When you think the light will never come,
And your faith is almost gone.
There is One there right beside you,
To help you see your way,
He's with you in the darkest hours,
As well as the light of day.
His light will never fail to guide,
Nor ever fade or dim,
He'll lead you to His loving arms,
and keep you safe, with Him.

I will make a covenant of peace with them
and rid the land of wild beasts so that they
may live in the desert and sleep in the
forests in safety.
Ezekiel 34:25
The little cares that fretted me,
I lost them yesterday,
Among the fields above the sea,
Among the winds at play.
Among the lowing of the herds,
the rustling of the trees,
Among the singing of the birds,
the humming of the bees.
The foolish fears of what might pass,
I cast them all away.
Among the clover-scented grass,
among the new-mown hay.
Among the rustling of the corn,
Where drowsy poppies nod,
Where ill thoughts die and good are born,
Out in the fields with God.

Note: Sometimes, the daily devotionals do not publish onto the site, and are delayed.I cannot control this, so please bear with me, in the times that this happens, and continue to check during the day, for the publishing. I prepare them at night, so that they will have plenty of time to post before morning, but it doesn't always work that way with the Blogger service. Sorry.
I have missed emails today (Monday), due to a large backlog and if anyone responded to "Christian Voices of America" and I have not acknowledged, please send your message again. Send any message which you think I need to see, which may not have been delivered. Thanks.

She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
Proverbs 31:20
The Wise Woman's Stone
A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day, she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food.
The hungry traveler saw the precious stone
and asked the woman to give it to him.
She did so without hesitation.
The traveler left rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worn enough to give him security for a lifetime.
But, a few days later, he came back to return the stone to the wise woman.
"I've been thinking," he said. "I know how valuable this stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something
even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me this stone."
